Live, Boldly.

We (You) only have one life … Let us Live it Boldly.

One life, my people

one chance,

my (your) Now,

at doing whatever it is we want to be remembered by.

Live each day as if it were your last.

[Seriously, not in a cliche sense. Think about it PLEASE. Why NOT? Why? I can’t really hear you please speak up, we’re exchanging opinions here 🙂

Are you convinced with any of the reasons you just gave yourself? I am not, personally, but it’s just me.]

It’s not about being “reckless”, but having the courage to make things happen, live them NOW, when we’re here, living not just exisiting.

Stop just being a Thinker, and become a Doer, who turns dreams, visions, and passions into a lifestyle.]

“You’ve got one life, it’s your duty to live it as fully as possible.” (Me Before You – 2016 production)

If I (you) were diagnosed with a terminal illness or knew today was your last day on this Earth (nothing yet can predict when is our last day right?),

So what would you do? Make a list, Go on, take a pen and paper or go to your folder on that i-pad, Go On;

I would:

  • Travel to Brazil right away

[been postponing it for ages for reasons not solid enough trust me, even finances have a way round them; i’m sure if i were ill, i’d find a way around them won’t i, won’t you too?]

  • Call my friends who organize TEDx and ask them to schedule me in for a talk

[I keep waiting for the “perfect timing”…pff, that could partly be true alright, but I can always do one now and another when I “think i have more to share”, can’t I?]

  • Train for the 42k Marathon upcoming in October 2016 and Become a professional runner, representative of the Beirut Marathon Association

[Not having the ‘time’ for it is my broken record on that one really, sounds familiar to You?]

  • Fly to Italy to see two dearest friends: P.P. and C.M.

[my broken record on that one: no time to PLAN this, imagine me!? + taking work leaves at that point in my career and position there – trust me, every single job i took on, i have said the exact same and it was NEVER a ‘right’ moment to ask for a leave. There IS a diplomatic way of doing that, and with some planning, I know i can ask for it, it’s my right as a human being to simply “ask” for something and see how it goes from there – never did, but this year, on the bright-side, I’ve grown more confident and it’s changing! I have already asked ..;)

  • Fly to the UK to meet my soulmate, sister in heart, mind and soul: Ella, and spend a time of our lives going out and everywhere and talking, connecting nights with day…
  • Take my sister to Dubai right now
  • Take my Mum to Italy, as a surprise, for a mother-daughter special bond whilst we visit mum’s rock in life – and now mine: Saint Rita of Cascia
  • ….

I personally feel the need to always remind myself of that, to get myself back on track when i feel most down, tired, and exhausted…

“You (I) will not find that passion in things […] or money , Because the more things and the more money You [I] have, you will […] use this as the metric, and there will always be someone with MORE[…]”

My morning run today was the inspiration for my post; the scenery was just thought-provoking, relaxing, beautiful in its simplicity. I am privileged to have the legs, health, and chance to enjoy it. #truth

The 10,000 Lebanese Pounds Note that made his Day

Hello my beautiful people!

I wouldn’t rate this Lesson of my Week as my deepest one, but rather, more interestingly, it holds a trivial incident but a huge impact- it showed me

How much  “everything” we do, impacts others; a little kindness goes a long way too:

Remember our shared slogan among others here: it’s the little things in life.. ?

I just popped into a coffee shop and ordered my Earl Grey Tea.

I settled the bill, received my change, and packed it in my purse, waiting for my order.

I went to settle in, plugged in my laptop, and something lingered in my mind:

I think the barista gave me the wrong change”.. my mind was thinking out loud, very loudly!

I checked my purse again and looked at the bill and the change given out;

I genuinely couldn’t remember if i reached for the 10,000 Lebanese Pounds [LBP] note (equivalent to 6.67USD) or the 20,000LBP note (equivalent to 13.33USD) to settle my tea invoice of 4USD.

I felt weird as i tried to recall what exactly I handed out, then I waited until the queue faded, and went up to the till (cash register) to the same barista who served my tea, Ray, and I said:

Can i please ask you to have a cash count” … and i told him of my suspicion that he might have given out the wrong change.

Ray was surprised, and reassured me to return to my seat as his superior and himself check the issue.

5 minute later, Ray passes by my table and heartily says,

“Very very few are like you.. Thank you, immensely so. […]”

He had the broadest, largest, most genuine smile in the history of smiles – EVER! That Relief!

I had given him the 6.67USD note and it turned out to be missing from his Cash as he gave me the miscalculated change.

For my entire stay in that coffee shop, Ray was roaming around tables relieved, happy-look on his face, taking extra care of anything i might need as well.

I made his day.

And He was my sign today June 22nd. Who was yours?

Who’s day did you make?

Hint: It’s not about the value of material things you give away, share, or give back- it’s the priceless value you carry to others through these!

i am sure if you dig a little in the details of your day when you have a minute or two to self-reflect (a habit that saved my life since my accident in December 2014), you’ll find your someone.

We all need a little goodness in our life;

I feel amazing, with a 10,000LBP Note-incident yes, which these days really does not buy you anything of value in Lebanon.

I also Know, there’s Karma and there’s Life is generous … always, if you be generous, always.

All these little things are stories that will make the history of other individuals in your life, close or farther.

Maybe we might see them, maybe we won’t again, but i believe in the universe’s crossed paths and patterns.

So far, it has shown me that ALL THINGS are intertwined, in ways we are yet able to grasp as humans and inhabitants of this Earth, but every one act you do or live through today, is reflected differently in the life of the person(s) on the other end of your extremity, or on the other end of the world.

So, please! have Faith, life is interconnected, have integrity and kindness in you whilst you be you, it’s our nature! Everybody deserves kindness, it’s a public good, not a private possession or right.

In the lines of the above message, I had an important interview today, and the professional public/servant and ex-investment banker i met earlier told me something I’ll hold on to,

“We are all similar in our human love/sense for justice” [in our societies, homes, in our country].”

With all my love,

Habits and Futures

Sunny morning here in Lebanon my people!

It feels so warm, but i am also thoughtful and warm at heart this morning, especially talking to you before I hit the office around the corner from the coffee shop i am sat at in Beirut.

A thought has been chasing me this past week;

hence, my Lesson of the Week is here early, and I can’t wait to share it with you and hear your thoughts on it:

this thought’s words and gist have popped up to me in various ways; through people i met, colleagues’ conversations, books or articles i read etc.. and all provoked the same message in my head and life now:

All i will comment on this is:

Can we strike a deal right now? Would you help me and help me help you give it a shot for a better, more accomplished, winning lifestyle?

How about, starting today, we each pick every week: 1 new habit to follow OR change one habit we have?

I took this challenge-to-grow personally, took it on this morning as i decided to cut down on coffee until i quit it.

I usually drink at least 2 to 3 mugs a day; I’ve decided this morning, following this week’s thought above, to change a habit, build a more winning one, to test if it makes a difference – as the quotes in my mind and visualized here really propagated to me.

Perhaps as i just start off, a habit every day will be daunting, so we can start taking one on every Week perhaps?, and then as we watch how we cope or win, we can switch to one new habit every day?

I’m now drinking my tea and really, it smells amazing, and i feel the energy in it!

Let me know how it ges for you, every time i have a habit, i’ll drop it here, so u hold me accountable alright? Really, i think i’ll win this, and so would you.

There is so much i personally want to do and say and gain and earn, so i’m trying out habits that can get me closer.

“You can’t achieve success unless you change something you do on a daily basis.”

Have a fabulous day!! and remember, i love you. Without you, my blogging would be different, i would share less, much less and be lonelier, less self aware, and less mature 🙂

Truly Yours,
